Victoria Bissell Brown is the L.F. Parker Professor of History at Grinnell College, where she teaches Modern U.S. History, U.S. Women s History, and U.S. Immigration History. She is the author of The Education of Jane Addams and the editor of the Bedford/St. Martin s edition of Jane Addams s Twenty Years at Hull-House. Her articles have appeared in Feminist Studies, The Journal of Women s History, and The Journal of the Illinois State Historical Society. She has served as a Book Review Editor for The Journal of the Gilded Age and Progressive Era and for the Women and Social Movements website.Timothy J. Shannon is professor of History at Gettysburg College, where he teaches Early American and Native American History. His other books include Iroquois Diplomacy on the Early American Frontier, Atlantic Lives: A Comparative Approach to Early America, and Indians and Colonists at the Crossroads of Empire: The Albany Congress of 1754, which received the Dixon Ryan Fox Prize from the New York State Historical Association and the Distinguished Book Award from the Society of Colonial Wars. His articles have appeared in the William and Mary Quarterly, Ethnohistory, and the New England Quarterly, and he has been a research fellow at the Huntington Library and John Carter Brown Library."

i was really recommend this book if you decide to not hire tutor I bought this book in the summer for my child who will be enter to 4th grade and i felt in love with it. The best think is video with explanation what child can watch and find out how to find the answer. I like that the book dont have a lot of multiple choice questions because all the book i bough before include a lot of multiple choice questions but not regular word problem question. Another thunk what impress me in thus book is all geometry question was explain in very simple questionWhile the book contains many practice problems, it provides ... While the book contains many practice problems, it provides no instructional information. I have tried several times to access the related videos either through youtube or scanning the provided QCR code for each week and there are no videos posted for 4th grade. I will not purchase anymore books from this company.Best!!! One of my favorite publishers for math workbooks for students. I have many of their books and have been consistently pleased with the quality and number of resources they provide. The workbooks include more than enough practice problems for your child to work through during the school year and the book comes along with their online website access. To my knowledge, all of their workbooks come with video explanations on their website. Some instructor reviews question by question making this an essential workbook to have for all parents and teachers. As a parent who has used their books for my kids and continue to do so, I highly recommend this brand.

Misleading print version - it is for "easy piano" - search for 1540007111 instead I ordered this after ordering the kindle version, and needed a printed version of it. The kindle version is the non-simplified arrangement, while the printed version is for "easy piano". I checked the description, and it is indeed for easy piano. It's misleading to have it on the same product page as the kindle version for the non-simplified version.Update : 8/5/2018 :Guys (and girls) : for the paperback version, this is the version you need (the non-simplified version) : ISBN : 1540007111. So here's where the problem lies, with Amazon : entering that ISBN into the search box takes you to the non-simplified version, but then clicking on the kindle version takes you to the non-simplified version, and finally clicking again on "paperback" takes to you to easy piano version !Kindle and paperback are different versions Piano Vs Guitar I ordered this for my daughter and didn't notice that the kindle and paperback versions were different. The Kindle version says piano, voice, guitar. The paperback is easy guitar. Well, I ended up with the guitar version that is doing me no good. Yes, I should have been more observant but why would you have two different versions in the same listing?Great Music! While I thought this movie was a bit weak, the music is fantastic. The piano transcriptions are fairly easy to play for an experienced pianist (especially if you're used to pop rhythms). "Never Enough", "Tightrope", and "A Million Dreams" are standouts on the piano. Note that the melody line (the sung part) is integrated into the piano part, which is great if you are playing these as a piano solo, but less so for accompanying a singer. If you want accompanist music, I recommend you check out the version called "Greatest Showman - Vocal Selections".

Even while devastated by Harvey’s departure, she still has her indomitable spirit and her self-respect. She has no intention of falling apart, either, even when her adult children drop a few bombshells of their own and she discovers a secret about her new, once-in-a-lifetime friend. Life may be full of setbacks, but by lifting herself up by her own lacy straps, Marcy just may be able to handle them all.

Relatable, entertaining characters Highly enjoyable, well written first novel by this author! I especially liked the CT references with slight alterations (St Mordechai..)! A great escape on a cold winter's day (could have easily read in one sitting if the dog could take care of himself..)This cover is awesome! The cover is classic! Lift and Separate is a brilliant title for the story of a woman who is the victim of her husband's midlife crisis that he apparently waited to have until he was almost a senior citizen. I thought Marcy was way too good for a man would do what Harvey did to her. I really cheered her on. It wasn't the typical midlife crisis because they were too old for that, but she didn't just roll over and give up when he left her. She took the promotion she had been offered and created a new life that worked for her. I was glad he gave her a second chance to have the life she deserved!Meatier than you'd expect, but it will still make you laugh! This is a book that had been on my radar for quite some time--I mean, just look at that title. I also follow the author on Facebook (she is hilarious), so I felt like it was going to be the perfect vacation read. And it was, but it wasn't quite what I expected. I went into reading this thinking it would be a light romp featuring a more mature heroine. Instead, I found a more thought-provoking and sensitive novel, which still led me to laugh more times than I could count.I appreciate that Rothstein was able to balance humor and seriousness. The scenario of a long-standing marriage in jeopardy is not a funny one and Rothstein never tries to make light of it. Instead, the humor comes from Marcy's insight and reactions. Not only does this lighten the mood, but it adds great depth to Marcy. I found her to be a believable and sympathetic character, and one that I rooted for.Around Marcy is a colorful cast of characters. Rothstein hits the sweet spot for the size of her supporting cast. Every character plays an integral role in Marcy's life and they help to propel the plot forward. Each person was distinct and fleshed out, with the exception of Harvey. But, honestly, this book isn't about Harvey. He's obviously important to the situation, but what is going through his mind isn't important to the story.Once I was able to devote time to this book, I was hooked. The plot moves smoothly and swiftly and Marcy's experiences were authentic and believable. There were many times when I really wasn't sure what decision Marcy would make and, even if I didn't agree with what she chose, I could still believe that she would choose it.This was an entertaining novel with more depth than I expected. It is one that I would recommend to anyone wanting something humorous and deceptively un-fluffy.
